Don Bryant Architect
Don Bryant has been working in the architectural profession for over 30 years. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1978. After graduating he worked for one of the largest commercial developers in Dallas and also for several small architectural firms involved in commercial and institutional work and eventually started a Architectural practice in Lewisville, Texas.
He moved to Florida in 1989, working for Pan Am and then for Johnson Controls Inc. as an architect on the Launch Base Support Project at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.
He also worked for some prominent local engineering firms before starting a Florida Architectural practice in 1998 providing Architectural services to NASA, Space Gateway Support(SGS) and other government contractors. Included in these task was providing Facilities Excellence Guidelines for areas at Kennedy Space Center.
After 911 the practice expanded to include services in church, commercial and residential design. Due to the downturn in the economy, especially the downturn in the local economy on the Space Coast of Florida due to cuts in the Space Program he has decided to close his office there and return to the Dallas area while still serving Florida clients.
Over the years he has have earned several prestigious awards, among them a national design award from the United States Air Force.
Don is currently registered in Florida. He has NCARB accreditation and intends to once again become registered in Texas within the coming months.
As is required of all Registered Architects in Florida, Don Bryant takes a minimum of 20 hours of Florida state approved continuing education courses every 2 years to keep abreast of changes in the codes and the latest knowledge in areas such as sustainable design, mold prevention, ethics, etc...
